Artwork
1. Does the festival have to be one of joyfulness, one that celebrates life, or if festivals with a solemn atmosphere is allowed?
There is no restriction whether the festival is a happy or sorrow one.

2. The festival that is depicted has to be one that is currently existing or we can create our own festival and explain it within the writeup?
The festival can be real or imaginary. The write up is to describe your chosen (created) festival and your artwork so that we can evaluate the relevancy and also creativity.

You can have more than 1 character in the picture (after all it is a festival) However, there must be a prominent character in the foreground that the judges can identify easily as the main character for the grading of "character design".All other charaters are considered as background or avatar.

4. Can the artwork be landscaped?
Yes.

5. For character design, must the character be shown full body or can it be the upper part only?
The character need not be fully shown. Look at our gallery for example of past artwork.
