Rules and conditions - Short Story Manga

Some of the rules are as follow:

  • The Manga category is for anyone from age 12 - 35 (as of 1st Jan 2008).
  • The artwork must be in A4 size on a single side.
  • The manga will be graded based on the hardcopy. The medium for creation will not be a factor during grading.
The complete rules and conditions can be downloaded here. Participants are required to read and fully understand the rules. Manga that breach any of the terms will be disqualified.

Story Plot 35%
Artwork 25%
Characterisation & Design 25%
Theme Relevance (and write up) 15%
Total 100%

Things to submit

Besides the hardcopy artwork, particpants are also required to submit the following:

  • Short summary - A short paragraph of not more than 150 words introducing your chosen festival and the relevance of it to the theme.

  • Work process in CD or DVD - Series of pictures taken throughout the process of your drawing to proof the originality of the work. For example, some pictures of the process of sketching the manga. The CD or DVD should also contain the final artwork file.
